Chenega Federal Systems Awarded High Performance Computing Contract

LORTON, Virginia -- Chenega Federal Systems (CFS) announced today that it has been awarded a contract for the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP).

Under the five-year, $66 million agreement, CFS will team with leading high performance computing company Instrumental, as well as sister company Chenega Technology Services Corporation (CTSC) to provide the HPCMP with program management, administrative, high performance computing consulting, telecommunications and other related services.

The HPCMP provides high performance computing and high-speed network services that enable DoD laboratories and test centers to conduct advanced technological research in an efficient and economical manner.  Weapons programs such as the Joint Strike Fighter, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and the Javelin Missile program have benefited from the advanced design concepts and efficient testing that the HPCMP supplies.

“The HPCMP is a crucial component in providing our military with the most up-to-date technology possible, and we are excited to assist them in this venture,” says CFS President John Campagna.

CFS, Instrumental and CTSC will conduct operations for the HPCMP at the office of CFS in Lorton, Virginia.
