Summary

All Source Intelligence Analysts are responsible for providing intelligence support to targeting activities throughout the OEF-TS Theater in support of Counter Terrorism (CT) activates and the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). Must speak North African Arabic dialect with a 3/3/3 level and also French at a 2/2/2 level. They shall conduct detailed all source intelligence analysis and prepare Target Intelligence Packet suing systems ranging from OSINT to TS-SCI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist in development, finalization and implementation of Collection Pans/Intelligence Collection CONOPs.
  2. Provide interface between various military intelligence organizations and theater components/organizations supporting OET- TS with intelligence and targeting information.
  3. Represent the JSOTF at SOCAF Targeting Briefings as required.
  4. Maintain situational awareness of all Intelligence activities, in the OEF-TS AOR, as well as being attuned to worldwide activities of AQIM/AQ, to ensure sufficient depth of expertise to answer taskers.
  5. Conduct all source, multi-disciplined target research and analysis; develops specific, detailed operational data.
  6. Provide guidance to JSOTF-TS S2 and other staff directorates on Targeting.
  7. Handle all staff actions related to Intelligence Support to Targeting, develop collection plans and provide input to collection taskers.
  8. Prepare Target Intelligence Packets based on All Source information.
  9. Provide detailed Targeting Intelligence Briefs to deploying Operational Detachments.
  10. Maintain and update country intelligence databases.
  11. Ensure targeting Intelligence Tactics Techniques and Procedures are robust and updated.
  12. Coordinate closely with JSOTF Foreign Disclosure Officer on FDO issues.
  13. Travel to OEF-TS locations to provide direct support to deployed headquarters or operational elements as required.
  14. Attend Al Qaeda In the lands of the Islamic Maghreb Working group meetings and video teleconferences in order to develop relationships across the Intelligence Community and stay abreast of intelligence trends and technologies required to support the JSOTF targeting process.
  15. Coordinate Targeting related Intelligence training for the ARSOTF.
  16. Prepare Unfinanced Requirements for submission as needed to cover budget shortfalls.
  17. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Knowledge of intelligence search tools and techniques, along with those developed by the JSOTF.
  • Knowledge in the processing, exploitation, reporting and data basing of Intelligence products that support OEF-TS requirements.
  • Knowledge developing map overlays reflecting changed tactical information.
  • Knowledge developing intelligence briefings.
  • Trained foreign disclosure officer or ability to complete training required to facilitate foreign disclosure processes.
  • Must speak North African Arabic dialect with a 3/3/3 level and also French at a 2/2/2 level.

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years operational experience supporting SOF and/or OGA Counter Terrorism Operations with Intelligence Analysis and a minimum of 10 years experience in SF and/or Intelligence; preferred:
  • (Officers (18A or 35 Series), Warrant Officers (180A or 350 series) or Senior Enlisted (18Z, 18F or 96Z, 96B) or sister service equivalent MOS experience include work in Intelligence or Information Operations fields.
  • Additional experience may be substituted for education.
  • Completion of advanced military technical training as an analyst or technician Military Occupational Specialty or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of the Intelligence Officers Advanced Course, Warrant Officer Course, or Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course (such as Advanced Intelligence NCO Course or SF operations and intelligence Course or the 18F Course).

 

Computer Skills

  • Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
  • Experience with common intelligence analytical software such as analyst notebook, falcon-view and ARCGIS software.
