Summary

Responsible for providing data modeling and database development support to PM Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS-A) and the I2WD SIL.

  • Work closely with various vendors to design, implement and test the Video Processing and Exploitation Framework (VPEF) data model to be integrated within the Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCGS-A).
  • Primary responsibility will be to help develop a video data model for the Army community.
  • Determine how data should be organized, who should have access to different data and how it should be displayed.
  • Design and develop data models and database architecture.
  • Construct, install and test the database system.
  • Consult with others to assess the system performance and make modifications as required.
  • Provide technical support to the team fielding that video data model capability.
  • Provide technical expertise in all aspects of data engineering and knowledge of systems data processes and procedures to include ISO and CMMI.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet operational/business needs.
 

Supervision
This position has no supervisor responsibilities.
 

Travel
This position requires travel to US military installations CONUS.
 

Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience is required. Experience with military intelligence systems, specifically DCGS-A, is highly desired. Experience with relational databases like Oracle and MS SQL is required.

 

Computer Skills

Expert knowledge of Microsoft and UNIX platforms. Experience administering UNIX/LINUX and PC systems. Knowledge of computer architectures, distributed systems, telecommunications/network communications, hardware configuration design and the software development process.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance:

Current SECRET clearance with ability to acquire a TS/SCI is required.
Current TS/SCI is highly desired.
